EduKick believe that living, studying and training in France, a foreign country, is an invaluable experience that a player will never forget and the benefits of such an experience will be embedded positively into that individual for the rest of his or her life.

French Program Overview
Overview Cannes France

The Senior Boys football course program is designed for serious male footballers aged 16+ who desire to develop their football/soccer abilities over an extended period of time (nine months) under the guidance of our professional technical coaching staff. The program coincides with the regular academic school year, beginning in September and finishing in May of the following year.

EduKick France staff are keenly aware of the challenges that our Academy presents to our players so are fully committed to the overall education of each individual through our football development and language immersion program. Living, playing football and studying in France as a teenager or young adult represents an enormous challenge for both the participant and the educators. From the participant's; courage, effort and character is required to succeed. From the EduKick France staff, it demands creativity, professional guidance, supervision, mentorship and expertise in order to provide the required level of service to our young players. 

French Program Location
Overview Cannes France

The year long program is a complete "French Language & Culture" immersion course. All school lectures, football coaching sessions, and social activities are conducted in French, though the communicative language may still be both English and French. Students will study French daily and be fully immersed in French language and culture through daily interaction with their teammates, classmates, new French friends and EduKick staff


Students are accommodated in twin room accommodation at the International College of Cannes. Single rooms are available for a supplemental fee. Each twin room consists of: 2 single beds, 2 x desks, 2 x closest (for clothes storage) and 1 wash basin.

Common showers and toilets are located on each floor of the residence. Bed Linen is provided by the college (washed and changed every 10 days). Students should bring their own bath towels/toiletries and rooms are cleaned daily by College cleaning staff.

France Accommodations
French Location

Students eat 3 meals each day at the college restaurant. A salad bar and a menu are provided for each meal. On weekends a brunch replaces breakfast and lunch.

Upon arrival on campus, students receive a "Welcoming Folder" containing meal times, first meeting time, a city map of Cannes, the College security rules and leisure time program.

French Education

Year Long, Half Year & Monthly Senior program participants aged 16+ attend French Language classes at the International College of Cannes. The College provides a whole range of French language courses from Elementary to Proficiency level. The faculty is made up of 20 professors holding university teaching degrees who are trained in the latest teaching techniques and share many years of experience teaching French as a foreign language.

The initial morning of academic study is reserved for a placement test to better evaluate the student's current knowledge of French, choosing a course level that best suits his/her personal needs. There are 15 different levels available and class size is typically between 6 - 14 students maximum.

Students attend 3 classes per day (45 minutes per class) between 9.00am – 12.00pm

French Language Education

Year Long, 1/2 Year & Monthly Junior program participants aged 12 - 15 years old attend the Collège des Campelières located in the heart of Cannes. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and by the French Football Federation, the "sport-études" department of Collège des Campelières was set up in 2004. The class schedule is adapted to the concept of extra sports hours so as to enable the students to attend special football practices. Every year, 16 to 18 local French students are granted the possibility to enter the football department at Collège des Campelières. The first objective, just like a normal school, is education. EduKick International students are granted automatic acceptance to the football department!

Professional Club exposure programme participants receive daily French language classes at the International College of Cannes. The aim of the course is to acquire abilities of communication in daily social exchanges and provide the participants with the basic necessary communication skills required on the soccer field.

France Football Traning

The goal of EduKick France is to work with players on every aspect of their training to ensure they develop the physical, technical, tactical and mental foundation required for better performance in football matches. This is accomplished through coaching and training in advanced strength and conditioning techniques, uniquely integrated with mental, nutritional and sports medical principles all enhanced by the environment and high tech facilities.

Year Long, Half Year & Monthly program participants are registered in a local French club. EduKick France has affiliations with many clubs in the Cote D’Azur region with the most prominent relationship with AS Cannes and USCBO for Senior program participants and with Mougins and Le Cannet for the Junior program.  Senior program participants train 4 times per week with their local club team and junior program participants train 2 – 3 times per week with their local club.

France Football Traning

As members of the academy all senior program participants receive special treatment, advice and follow-up. Once a week, our EduKick France technical football/soccer coach and trainer organizes an additional training including physical exercises, personal and collective techniques, evaluations and tests, and a personal physical and moral follow-up of our student players.

Regular classes finish at 2pm 3 times per week on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday to allow the students to attend training sessions 2 - 5pm in addition to their local club training.

French Location

Competitive Club matches are played on weekends which give participants the opportunity to participate in the French championship (league) at district, regional or national level. It is up to the team coach to decide whether the player is selected to play. Participants 17 years old and under, with passport outside the European Community the Article 19 from FIFA reserves the right for the French Football Federation to provide or not a “Match License”.  Students who do not obtain a football license the program will be exactly the same except that official matches will not be part of the program and they will participate in Friendly matches organised on a regular basis by the local clubs and EduKick France.

Professional Club exposure program participants during their 3 week program will receive daily training sessions. Week # 1 is preparation and evaluation week spent with the AS CANNES 3rd team. During week #2 & #3 as well as training participants will take part in friendly matches and trials with 3rd, 4th & 5th division French club teams and will be scouted at these events.  The program, through its partner “Sport International Organisation” will follow-up where necessary and make arrangements on behalf of the player to find the best possible protocol with the club in view of starting a professional career.

Soccer Academies Communications and Reporting

EduKick International Soccer Academies prides itself on excellent communication and reporting.

All of our participants are provided with language progress reports. EduKick USA Year-long student-athletes will receive three (3) technical soccer evaluation reports and three (3) academic reports (from the affiliated educational institution) throughout the duration of the academic year course. EduKick International Soccer Academies also provides periodic behavioral/social updates from our Directors in the field. These reports are designed to serve as "updates" on general group activities, excursions, special events and any particular issues that may have transpired. The reports are often accompanied by digital photos or video clips that are emailed to parents for their review and enjoyment.

Group Social Events:
Although extracurricular activities are not mandatory, we strongly encourage that students take part in them, as they are a useful complement to each program. Various activities for afterschool and weekends are offered.

"Manchester" is a quiet neighbourhoud away from the city hussle but still with an excellent public transport connection to the city centre.

EduKick Football Academies distinguishes itself with its commitment to safety, security and supervision. Football Academies' students have adult monitors/mentors assigned to them as part of the program for continual service, supervision and mentorship. EduKick Football Academies participant events and activities are also carefully monitored and supervised. EduKick Football Academies Program rules and regulations are designed to ensure the safety and security of our soccer player participants (i.e. curfews, permission to exit regulations, etc). All football player participants are required to carry personal health insurance. During our technical training sessions we have on-site non-emergency medical trainers and personnel who can provide basic athletic-injury care and support. EduKick Football Academies is committed to establishing an atmosphere that is safe and nurturing for our participants. We believe that after these basic needs are met for both our foreign and domestic student athletes, an environment conducive to learning a new language and football training is made comfortable and effective.

Who Can Participate?
Open to both boys and girls 16 years old and above. All ability levels are welcome and no prior soccer or foreign language experience is necessary. All levels of French speakers are accepted, from elementary up to native speaker.
